The TBM Foundation is a partner and strategic investor in student achievement and success in public schools and higher education, as well as in expanding access and options in healthcare and human services. The Foundation seeks to fund innovative programs that improve outcomes for those who are under-served and/or under-represented in these critical areas.

About the TBM Foundation Donors

Timothy and Bernadette Marquez have a longstanding reputation for philanthropic giving. Bernadette Marquez is a proud graduate of Michigan State University. She is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience and brings her passion for high quality, accessible healthcare to the work of the Foundation. Timothy Marquez is the founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board for Venoco, Inc., a Denver-based energy company. He attended school within the Denver Public School system and worked his way through college at the Colorado School of Mines. Both Timothy and Bernadette have a passion for improving public education, as evidenced by their commitment to establishing the Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF). DSF’s mission is to inspire and empower Denver Public School (DPS) students to achieve their postsecondary educational goals by providing the tools, knowledge and financial resources essential for success.

Before TBMF, Lisa worked for the Center for the Study of Social Policy as a Senior Associate, as a Program Officer for The Piton Foundation and for the Daniels Fund.
